The Salom ODM / OEM engagement model
After an initial consultation, we provide a Statement of Work that covers how we plan to deliver your project. The emphasis is on design, development and product certification, as well as manufacturing agreements to cover all aspects of manufacturing and life cycle planning.
Design
As experts in custom design, our specialist teams review applicable research prior to detailed specification discussion, design, modelling and simulation where necessary. This exercise enables fine-tuning of any aspect of the design to minimise time to market.
Prototypes
We use prototypes to optimise design. Our prototypes are manufactured in-house using our vertically integrated LEAN production processes. All aspects of system performance are fully validated against the product specification.
Certification
For optimal performance and minimal risk of project delays due to compliance Issues, Salom perform EMC validation testing using in-house EMC laboratory facilities prior to submission to an accredited laboratory for formal safety certification.
Manufacturing
Salom’s extensive vertical integration means we process materials and produce around 70% of the components required; including bare copper wire, insulated wire and cable, transformers, metal components and plastic injection mouldings using in-house tooling.
Glocalization
Our products are developed, manufactured and distributed globally using our worldwide production locations. All of which are supported by highly skilled commercial and engineering teams that are local to you. That's Glocalization!

Our rigorous planning ensures your specification meets future regulation compliance and component availability.
We also consider future manufacturing advancements such as automation, disposal and minimising environmental impact.
